Our People

Claudia Gómez López is a Senior Program Officer at Ríos. She is a Colombian political scientist, specializing in social policy and bioethics, bringing to Ríos over 20 years of experience coordinating human rights programs and projects, consistently applying a gender and intersectional perspective. Her expertise extends to extensive research, particularly in sexual and reproductive health, demography, and public health.

Before joining Ríos, Claudia held significant roles in Colombian civil society organizations focused on reproductive health. She served as the Director of Population Health at the Santa Fe Foundation in Bogotá, Program Director at Women's Link Worldwide, and for over seven years as the Director of Research at Profamilia Colombia. Additionally, she has provided consultancy services to the United Nations System (UN Women, UNFPA, and IOM) and the Inter-American Development Bank.

Claudia holds a BA in political science from the Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia, an MA in social policy studies from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and a diploma in statistical analysis.
