Our People

Laura Dragnic Tohá is the Legal and Policy Advisor for the Preclusion LAC Initiative, a collaborative project between the Preclusion Project and Ríos. She previously served as Legal Advisor at Chile’s Ministry of Women and Gender Equity, where she contributed to initiatives aimed at advancing gender equity, particularly in sexual and reproductive rights and the right to care. Before that, she was the Legal Coordinator at Miles Corporation, where she led strategic litigation to promote sexual and reproductive rights in Chile.

She holds an LL.M. in National and Global Health Law and a Certificate in International Human Rights Law from Georgetown University, where she worked as a Research Assistant at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law. At the O’Neill Institute, her research focused on the decriminalization of abortion, obstetric violence, and comparative analyses of abortion rights from an international perspective. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Certificate in Women and Criminal Justice from the University of Chile, as well as a Master’s degree in Political Philosophy from Diego Portales University.

Laura is a feminist lawyer and researcher committed to using the law as a tool for social justice. She is fluent in both Spanish and English.
